Even the cold Universal Studios AEW Dark set can’t deny the illuminating presence of Willow Nightingale! Canonically, we haven’t seen Willow since July 27th but she’s actually had 3 matches in AEW/ROH since this match was taped.

Willow enters the match kind of overlooking her opponent somewhat and get a hard shot to the face from Robyn putting her on defence to start the match but she quickly recovers as Robyn goes to whip Willow into the ropes but she cartwheels out.
Nightingale goes on a run of offence with chops, a big boot, Senton and a running splash. Robyn tries a reversal in the corner but gets an elbow in the face. She distracts the ref while Charlette gets on the turnbuckle and assaults Willow.
Robyn dodges a pump kick and hits a backstabber on Nightingale. She goes for a sleeper hold but Willow is able to easily lift her up and run knock her off using the turnbuckle.
Willow hits a big Spinebuster then sets up Robyn in a DVD position but she rakes Willow’s eyes to escape and rolls to the floor. As the ref checks on Willow, Charlette rolls into the ring, chops Willow and then hits a beautiful Fisherman Suplex for a 2.9. I actually bit on the pinfall. Willow then hits another Spinebuster then The Baby With The Power Bomb and actually pins Charlette for the win! Willow Nightingale dances to her music in a way that only she could get away with.
We talkin’ about practice
Ok so these Dark matches in Universal Studios, I kind of just take them as reps for the sake of reps. Bordering on non-canonical. So I’m not going to hold it against the Renegade Twins that they keep losing basically handicap matches where they have the advantage. Along with getting in-ring reps, they’re also getting reps at practicing their “twin magic” spots. The big takeaway here is that AEW protected Willow and that by giving the Renegade Twins their own entrance and is past weeks talking segments with Tony Schiavone, Tony Khan also sees a lot in them too.

Note: Just because I give a match a low rating doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it for what it was nor is it necessarily a commentary on the competitors. Not all matches are meant to be 3-to-5 star matches.
