Even in the underwhelming confines of the AEW Dark’s Universal Studios, Willow Nightingale shines. Her presentation and energy are, as Excalibur identifies, infectious.
I’m so impressed with how quick and fluid Willow is. She rolls and then dives onto Mila with speed, power and grace. Mila, making her AEW debut was a bit stiff. She didn’t get to show much except a pretty innovative looking Backstabber. Unfortunately two of Willow’s signatures, The Pounce and Spinebuster came off as clunky. And actually her Doctor Bomb looked as if she was labouring Mila through it.
We already know how I feel about Willow (she’s amazing) so let’s talk about Mila. She was in the WWE PC for less than a year, aesthetically she looks great, she’s tall, her ring gear is top notch. There’s a bit of a lack of information as she’s not on Cage Match. In any case, let’s reserve judgement. We’ll see if she’s on Dark again soon.
Note: Just because I give a match a low rating doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it for what it was nor is it necessarily a commentary on the competitors. Not all matches are meant to be 3-to-5 star matches.
