Renegade Twins vs Breaux/Valentina

For the first time, the Renegade Twins have are positioned as the favourites, getting their own entrance whilst Avery Breaux and Valentina Rossi wait in the ring. The Renegade Twins as a tag team have had 5 matches in AEW (one coming on a future Dark), including one on Rampage.

Charlette starts off with Avery. Pulls her into the corner and the Renegades make a series of tags, stomping on poor Avery. Breaux gets whipped into the far ropes, where Rossi sneaks a tag. A kick from Robyn on the apron stops any momentum gathered by Valentina Rossi. The two of them setup Rossi into like a leg lock where they both somersault over flipping Rossi onto her back.

Breaux gets in and starts feeding Charlette some offence. The Renegades cause a distraction for the referee and in the interim do the old switch-a-roo as the fresher Robyn comes in for Charlette. Robyn feeds Breaux with a hard right, makes the tag to Charlette and they hit an assisted neck breaker for the win.

After the match, Tony Schiavone comes in to interview the Renegade Twins and he has absolutely no time for the twins’ switch-a-roo games.

It’s good to see the Renegade Twins getting featured not just in a win but in a post match segment where they get to show their personality. Hopefully this more evidence that Tony Khan is building up AEW’s Women’s Tag Team Division. Cheap Plug: I specifically bring up the Renegade Twins in my article, A Path To Women’s Tag Team Belts.

For her part, Avery Breaux looked much better than someone who’s had 11 career matches up to this point. She has another one coming up on Dark against Kayla Rossi (Wait, Kayla Rossi is back?!). She’s also wrestled once under the name Sierra St. Pierre on NXT Level Up so it’s pretty impressive the level of exposure she’s getting for someone so new into this career!

Valentina Rossi, for whatever reason, is hard to dig up stats on but she is also very new. I would estimate she’s had around 10 matches in AEW. For the relative inexperience of all 4 wrestlers, it went very smoothly.
