Kris Statlander takes on Sierra. Sierra is the current Discover Pro Wrestling (DPW) World Champion as well as the Wisconsin Pro Wrestling (WPW) Women’s Champion.
Stat and Sierra exchange holds. Statlander gets a good pop from the crowd for a simple shoulder block. Sierra goes for a trip but Kris stops and Sentons Sierra followed by a standing Splash. Sierra comes back with some offence in the corner but Statlander takes the match back over with a massive big boot to Sierra and she gets the win too! Awesome! Love to see Statlander get a strike as a finisher!
Like a lot of these squash matches, they’re not so much to have a competitive exhibition but rather to put something else over. In this case it was to give Kris a new kill shot finisher. Having a longer match risks that point being lost on the audience.
One note on this match, and hopefully this is nothing, but when Statlander hit that big boot she kind of landed weird and appeared to be favouring her right knee after the match. She did stand up after the match under her own power. Hopefully it’s nothing serious.
