Being that this is a “…Is In Action!” match, there wasn’t a match graphic. Kayla Sparks & Christina Marie get “Already in the ring…” jobber entrances. Marie kind of looks like an American Gladiator. Very Kurt Angle-esque gear. While Sparks has black and pink gear with rainbow details.

Deeb starts the match by beating the absolute piss out of Marie, then also taking her pound of flesh off Sparks. Mercedes argues with Deeb and manages to tag herself in. They actually work together for a moment but still seem to kinda hate each other.
Martinez hits that elbow to the back of the head on Marie. Deeb tags herself in and immediately applies the Serenity Lock on Christina Marie for the win. Perhaps lost in this is the fact that Kayla Sparks never managed to get tagged in. After the bell Deeb won’t let go of the Serenity Lock. Merecedes pulls her off. This incites Deeb but Martinez apparently talks her down and just as it looks like cooler heads had prevailed, Deeb takes off Martinez’ head with a clothesline and then put her her in the Serenity Lock.

This was actually pretty cleverly done because going into tonight, I just assumed Deeb would likely turn on Martinez since the ROH PPV is coming up and Deeb seemed like a good competitor for Martinez’ ROH World Title. However, Jonathan Gresham had just turned on tag team partner Lee Moriarty in the previous match so that led me to believe Tony Khan wouldn’t book the same thing two matches in a row. He got me.
There wasn’t much to write home about as for as a match goes. But the angle was good. I still hope down the line Deeb & Martinez might become a tag team.
