We briefly saw Christina Marie on Rampage in a match more remembered by the fact Serena Deeb turned on Mercedes Martinez after the match than anything.
Athena comes out in her awesome winged jacket to a big pop! Athena shows off some cool offence right off the hop, reversing a throw into the ropes by doing like a 619 through the ropes and then springing over with a tornedo onto Marie.
Christina Marie gets in some offence, a body slam for a one-count and a headlock/rest hold. Athena hits Marie with a Tearace, an exploder suplex and then drops Marie face first onto her knees. These descriptions don’t do Athena’s offence justice as they’re all done in uniquely. Athena really has her own move set and really flexes her upper body and lower body strength in this match just kipping up like it’s no big deal. She’s so impressive athletically.
Athena finishes the match with the O-Face (formerly known as the ‘Eclipse’). Always looks amazing. Where as the previous two matches (featuring Julia Hart and Leila Grey), they left me feeling like we’re in the process of watching those two women develop and get stronger and more over, in contrast Athena looks ready for an awesome matchup against Jade Cargill and Tony Schiavone kinda hints at this asking “Are you looking at your next TBS Champ?” I think that’s where we’re heading for All Out. We’ll see.

Note: Just because I give a match a low rating doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it for what it was nor is it necessarily a commentary on the competitors. Not all matches are meant to be 3-to-5 star matches.
